ART THERAPy & Counseling OFFERINGS
Emotional healing through personal symbolism and creative expression
Art Therapy is a clinical mental health profession that uses art materials and the creative process to help a person express feelings, improve coping skills and heal emotional wounds. All of us are born with creative abilities. We can use these creative abilities to help us relax, regulate our emotions, and grow personally from the creative process.
Art Therapy takes place in the presence of a qualified Art Therapist, who is specifically trained and educated on which type of media and therapeutic approach is appropriate to assist a person to address the problems they are experiencing. The focus is on the creative process, not the quality of the artwork created. There is no criticism or judgement of artwork in an art therapy session. The environment of the art therapy studio is one of confidentiality, compassion and openness to the person's creative process, in order that they may heal.
Counseling is a long-established healing modality where a confidential, supportive, and compassionate environment, combined with personal rapport with your therapist, provide a foundation to discuss and transform personal problems.
Currently accepting Ohio Medicaid, Caresource, United Healthcare, Optum and UMR insurance. More insurances pending. In-person and Telehealth sessions available.
